Description: A great hike experience, vastness
of the plain and get a closer look at the Witberg Mountains.
ROUTE:
Start at the Lodge and walk up the hill passing
the water reservoir on your LEFT. The markers will
lead you down a ravine. Near the bottom follow the arrows
turning RIGHT. Walk up the hill and the path will lead
you in a south easterly direction to the edge of the escarpment
and then down towards the plain. Follow green markers
and arrows to the edge of the plain. At the tree an arrow
will point the direction which to follow. Cross over a
small sand dune and follow the markers (poles)
across the plain. Once you have reached the other side
turn RIGHT at the tree which stands at the edge of the
plain and sandy road.
Walk in a southern direction and follow the track for
600m, turn RIGHT at the junction and follow the track
behind the dunes towards the horse stables, pass
the stables on your LEFT and enter through the gate. The
road leads you up to the Lodge.
