Description: A circular walk where you experience
breathtaking views of the Witberg Mountain Range in the
south east. An appreciation of space timelessness when
gazing over the plain is felt.
ROUTE:
The walk starts at the Lodge (porch) and the path
leads you past the water reservoir on the hill.
Follow the yellow markings over the ridge and down a ravine.
Near the base of the ravine the arrow points RIGHT. Follow
the path leading you up an incline in a south easterly
direction. At the top of the incline the path veers to
the LEFT and up onto an escarpment where you will
begin to experience the awesome landscape. Follow the
marked trail until you get to the edge of the escarpment
you will be lead down onto the edge of the plain where
arrows will point RIGHT. Keep RIGHT and follow the escarpment
over a series of sand dunes up to the sand track. At the
track turn RIGHT and follow the track back to the Lodge.
On the RIGHT you will see the igloo shaped staff quarters
and a soccer field. Near the end you will see the
horse stables on your LEFT. Pass through the gate
and walk up the gravel road back to the Lodge.
